Hello there! I'm Tifa Moana, a destination wedding photographer, and I can't tell you how excited I am to share with you one of my favorite wedding venues - The French Estate in Orange, CA. This charming venue is a vintage home dating back to 1895 and has been the host to countless joyful occasions. As soon as you step through the gates, you're greeted by an adorable lemony-yellow home that will certainly put a smile on your face. I can't help but feel a sense of calm every time I visit, which is a sentiment echoed by the couples I've had the pleasure of photographing here. One of the standout features of the French Estate is its atmosphere. There's an unmistakable aura of warmth, elegance, and relaxation that envelops you as soon as you walk in. It's not a 'wedding factory' where you're hurried from one thing to the next. Instead, you're afforded the luxury of time to dress at your own pace in their spacious bridal suite, which also makes for some fantastic photo opportunities. The beautifully appointed parlor is another wonderful touch. With its old-world charm, it's a great space for your bridal party to relax and have fun. It's also another fabulous spot for those all-important photos. But the real star of the show, in my opinion, is the estate's grounds. They're exclusively yours for the duration of the party, providing a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos. Think of sprawling greenery and beautiful, old trees encapsulating a sense of tranquility that’s hard to find elsewhere. As a photographer, I appreciate the opportunities that the French Estate offers me to capture those big moments, as well as the smaller, unseen ones that are just as significant. It’s a venue that truly allows you to be in the moment, and that's where the most magical photos happen. In conclusion, if you're looking for a venue that offers a unique blend of vintage charm, warm ambiance, and relaxed elegance, then The French Estate should be at the top of your list. And if that sounds like something you'd love, then let's talk! I would be more than happy to capture your love story at this beautiful venue.

A Review of The Franciscan Gardens, San Juan Capistrano, CA

A Hauntingly Beautiful Celebration in Santa Ana

I had the privilege of capturing Holly and Julio's wedding at The Heritage Museum of Orange County in Santa Ana, California, and I have to tell you—this day was something special. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was walking into a wedding that would stay with me. The couple had envisioned a gothic-inspired celebration, and they absolutely nailed it.

The Vision Comes to Life

Holly and Julio didn't go for the typical wedding aesthetic, and I loved that about them. They wanted their day to feel different, to feel like theirs. A gothic theme could easily feel dark or heavy in the wrong hands, but in this case, it felt elegant and intentional. The couple understood the assignment, and every detail reflected their commitment to creating something truly unique.
The Heritage Museum proved to be the perfect backdrop for their vision. The venue's architecture and character lent itself beautifully to the aesthetic. There's something about a historic building that already has soul, you know? It didn't need much to transform into the perfect setting for their celebration. The bones were already there.

What Made This Day Stand Out

My favorite part about Holly and Julio's wedding was witnessing how seamlessly their inspiration came together with genuine joy and celebration. It wasn't about being moody or theatrical for the sake of it. Instead, the couple had created an atmosphere that felt both hauntingly beautiful and deeply personal. That's a balance that's harder to strike than it seems.
The moments I captured throughout the day felt authentic. Holly and Julio weren't performing for the camera—they were present with each other and with their guests. As a photographer, that's what I'm always looking for. The real moments. The ones that matter.

Photographing the Details

Working in a heritage museum meant I had incredible natural light and interesting architectural elements to work with. The venue's history was visible in every corner, and I used that to my advantage. Gothic elements mixed with the museum's existing character created a visual story that felt cohesive and intentional.
I found myself drawn to the details throughout the day—the way light fell through windows, the expressions on guests' faces, the small moments between Holly and Julio when they thought no one was looking. Those are the shots that matter most. Those are the ones you'll want to revisit years from now.

The Feeling of the Day

What struck me most about this wedding was the feeling it created. Gothic weddings can sometimes feel cold or distant, but Holly and Julio's celebration felt warm and welcoming despite its darker aesthetic. Their guests were comfortable, the energy was positive, and love was genuinely present throughout the day.
That's something you can't fake in photographs. When a couple has done the work to create a day that feels authentic to who they are, it shows up in every frame. Holly and Julio had created something beautiful, and I was honored to document it.

Why I Love What I Do

Days like Holly and Julio's remind me why I became a photographer in the first place. It's not about capturing perfection or following trends. It's about being present for the moments that matter. It's about documenting their personal love story.
If you're planning a wedding and you want someone who will show up and capture your day as it actually is, I'd love to talk with you. Whether your vision is traditional, unconventional, or anything in between, I'm here for it. Let's create something beautiful together.

Worth every penny! Provided quick responses and so accommodating. Tifa was able to capture things I didn’t think would be important. In the chaos of the reception she moved throughout seemingly and in the moment it was like us and our family. She shot our day so beautifully!

Tifa Moana is hands-down the ultimate choice in wedding photography. As a wedding planner and designer I’ve worked with her on a number of events where she has exhibited true skill and artistry through her craft. Tifa’s style is intimate, thoughtful and organic. The way she connects with each couple before, during and after the event shows her genuine passion and commitment to not only taking the best possible photos, but to preserving the beauty and emotion of their wedding.
Tifa understands the value of capturing treasured moments in real time. Her candid photos are some of my favorites! I refer all my clients to Tifa Moana!

HOKU ACEVEDO - WEDDING PLANNER

We hired Tifa Moana Photography for our wedding back in 2021. I absolutely loved all the pictures she took for us! She’s also very kind and fun to work with. Me and my husband aren’t big “picture people” so we didn’t have any specific poses in mind. She guided us in the right direction and they all turned out amazing. She took a lot of candid photos and posed photos. Both were perfect and I love that I have these pictures to relive my big wedding day. Highly highly highly recommend hiring her for your big day!

It's been an absolute pleasure working with Tifa! We booked her for our wedding In July 2024 and we couldn't be more happy with how beautiful our pictures came out. She is fun and easy to work with and really brings your vision to life.

Please write in this style: "Hi there! My name is Tifa Moana. I am a destination wedding photographer, and I’m incredibly grateful that you’re here!

My work has allowed me to capture love stories all across the U.S., from the Hawaiian islands all the way to Chattanooga, Tennessee. I believe that the most magical photos happen when you are completely in the moment, and that’s where I thrive. In the moments. The big ones. The small ones. The ones that go unseen. When all is said and done, you will have a beautifully documented collection to look back on forever (queue the tissue). If that sounds lovely to you, then let’s chat!"

Also please do not mention "our team" or "our photographers" as I am the only photographer on my team. Please also ensure that all references to the self are in the first person singular. All writing should be coming directly from me, as though I am talking directly to the customer. I would also like it to be quite down to earth and without lots of fluff and flowery language.
